Coal Seam Gas – Vote 1 John Gibson Independent Senator Qld
On July 2nd, 2016 you will cast your vote to elect a Qld Senate Candidate for the Federal Government of Australia.
My name is John Gibson and I am interested in the affairs of Queensland and in particularly the management of Coal Seam Gas. I will appear on the Senate voting card as “John Gibson – Independent”
Coal Seam Gas (CSG) converted to LPG is a vital export earner for Queensland and Australia. I am not against CSG or Mining. In fact I have earned my living in Heavy Engineering Services to the Mining Industry and Gas Industry since 1984 and still continue to do so.
From drilling CSG wells to Extraction then piping to processing units to loading on to ships for export is a dangerous and hazardous process through the whole operation. Even more intolerable is the contamination of our water resources and the degradation of our most precious agricultural lands.
The majority of CSG operations in Qld are foreign owned. Many are even owned by Foreign Sovereign Countries. We have examples of State and Federal Governments so hungry for the export income of CSG that the legislation, control and management is totally inadequate to protect the property assets and the water assets owned by the people of Queensland and Australia.
I Demand a Bounty of $250,000 for each and every CSG Well Owned by Foreign Entities in Australia. Such funds made available to compensate Farmers and Citizens who’s Land and Water has been poisoned by CSG.
I Demand a Bounty of $250,000 for each and every CSG Well to be paid towards the costs of Monitoring and Compliance and the Legal Representation of Farmers and Citizens who’s Land and Water has been poisoned by CSG. In addition a further Bounty of $25,000 per annum for extinct or closed down CSG Wells.
I Demand that the State and Federal Governments cease the issue of new exploration licences to Foreign entities. I Demand that any new exploration licences can only be issued to Australian Registered Companies that have less than 49% foreign shareholders.
I Demand that the State and Federal Government collect a total $1 billion annual premium from the CSG Industry in Australia.
